How to Integrate FMOD Engine with Unity




  • Open your Unity project and go to the Assets menu and select Import Package and then Custom Package.



  • Browse to the installation directory of FMOD Engine and select the file named fmodstudio.unitypackage. This is a Unity package that contains the FMOD Studio plugin for Unity.



  • Click on the Import button to import the package into your project. You will see a folder named FMODStudio in your Assets folder that contains the plugin files.

How to Integrate FMOD Engine with Unreal Engine




  • Open your Unreal Engine project and go to the Edit menu and select Plugins. This is where you can manage the plugins for your project.



  • Click on the Browse button and navigate to the installation directory of FMOD Engine. You will see a folder named UE4 that contains subfolders for different versions of Unreal Engine.



  • Select the subfolder that matches your version of Unreal Engine and open it. You will see a file named FMODStudio.uplugin. This is the FMOD Studio plugin for Unreal Engine.



  • Click on the Install to Engine button to install the plugin to your project. You will see a dialog box that asks you to restart your Unreal Editor.
